CDL Driver, Local Fuel Delivery and Service Tech

Full-time | Pay: Starting at $23.00 per hour 

E.M Sergeant Energy Service is looking to add a member to our Fuel Department. We are looking for a flexible, hardworking, dedicated individual to join our small but productive team.

This is a year round position consisting of delivering home heating fuels in the winter months, working in the field during the summer months, and helping in the office as needed.

The right candidate for this position will be capable of delivering fuel, but also be willing to learn how to be a propane and fuel service technician. This includes running a small truck crane to move propane and fuel tanks, installing propane delivery systems (tanks, lines, regulators, etc), troubleshooting leaks and malfunctioning systems, installing and servicing diesel/gasoline tanks and pumps, and general maintenance to one of our bulk plants.  Most importantly, the right candidate must be willing to learn and work as a team to get the job done.

We service southwest Michigan out of our Kalamazoo and Battle Creek locations. Our standard hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with overtime during peak periods, and on-call for emergency or after hours deliveries. 

Skills Required:

• Minimum of a Class B CDL with an X endorsement. Will help the right candidate getting a HazMat endorsement.
• Some computer skills necessary, will train the right candidate to use our software in the office as well as the field.
